countdowns. . .i loathe them. 

But i can't seem to stop it. . .

i already promised myself not to but my mind automatically does it (countdown).

The thing with countdowns is that you'll always expect something extraordinary will happen at the end but you already know that it wont and that spoils it. T.T

its 1.1.11. . . how lucky to see many number ones in one date. Oh how i wish this is going to be a lucky day!! should i try and see if its lucky? note to self: must gamble for a lotto ticket to test good fortune. . .hehehe.. .now lets start with my new year post. . 

To 2010,

Thank you, Kahmasahamnida, Graci, Merci, Arigatou and SALAMAT. . . you've been a blast of unplanned journeys, reunions, heartaches, surprising happiness, broken promises, new friendships, dejections, and hopefulness. You have been a very dear friend, a sister, a brother, a parent and a teacher. You're always be meaningful, 2010. Remember the first time we met, i hated you.  . .yeah, it surely was eventful. But we worked out just quite right. we suffered in parts earning some gash here and there, but eventually survived still having our hearts whole. My friend,though its hard to let you go. . . i must. Sorry if i wasn't able to become what we wanted us to be but don't worry i LEARNED a lot from you. . .it has been truly a great year, 2010. So long, friend. this is my Farewell and Cheers!l . . .i will miss you.

Hello 2011,

Its nice meeting you. I Hope you wouldn't be so hard on me! I hope , though we might not become friends, we will work out our differences and harmoniously coexist for 365 days. I will not promise anything however I will try my best to turn out fitting to your standards well. There will be complications in our travels together and i admit it would mostly be my fault ( with my quirkiness, temper and all, i would not blame you!). I fervently wish that you would be patient, understanding, considerate and more of it because you will definitely need it when you are with me. I am a cross of the Mad hatter, Alice, Rabbit and Hare out for a tea together. get the picture? I am not scaring you 2011, just telling you for future reference. I don't come with an instruction manual nor with a f1 HELP button so please bear with me (ewwness for my figure of speech). A Toast to Good Luck and Better Togetherness. . . Cheers!

This year's christmas is GOOD. Not better  nor worse than last year . . .just GOOD. 


GOOD because once again we are all gathered in one table to eat...which rarely happens now
GOOD because its Jesus' Birthday which means we all have the reason to CELEBRATE!
GOOD because its our annual "kababata" reunion!!!yippeee
GOOD since our videoke machine is ready to explode with ear-splitting pinoy carols!
GOOD since its okay to not follow your  diet plans especially when there's LECHON on the table.
GOOD for all Davaoeños because the new mayor still implemented the fireworks ban from the old city gov. . .low  fireworks caualty!! Hospitals aren't so busy!!!yay!!

For C and her diamond castle

I've been a volunteer at  center for kids for more than 2 years now  and everyday that I am with the kids is like having a dose of all the goodness in the world. Every little moments that we share seems like a gift that you can never put a price-tag on. 

Currently, we are preparing for our annual christmas play--the Nativity. We were always told that we should never play favorites but i can't help it if i love one among them. She loves playing tag -- she screams and runs around the center if i come for her for therapy. She is smart --- she'll come up with different excuses just so she can get what she wants. She loves chocolate ice cream (like who doesn't?), sesame street and Barbie. She loves read-aloud and singing. She is highly hyperactive and manipulative. 

She is diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. 

But even with that, i can't help but be amazed when she sings her favorite songs....

For C , i know you wont be able to read this yet (since your still 5 and can't use the internet). . .but i am very much thankful for being part of your life. For teaching me great things only special kids knows how. I am blessed to have met you. Happy 5th Birthday!! Surely you're going to find your own diamond castle.

the wayward doodler is back

Goodness ! its been lightyears since i last posted here. . .got lost in a loop of life. . . anyways,  thank you, Nescafe 3-in-1 for keeping me awake tonight and for reminding me to lay off you even when your decaffeinated... but i guess its my fault still for having you . . .but you smelt nice and creamy , toasty like summer nights and everything nice ( power puff coffee?) when i passed by the holy aisle of milk, chocolate drink, condensada and coffee and it makes me cringe if i cant take a sip of you. . . .ang OA naman. . .december 2010. . . HA!!!lost in 9 months. . .okay lang. . .total who would want to read this blog anyways. . . kekeke. . . somebody out there?yoohoo!!? hehehe. . . pasko na naman. . merry christmas!!!. . .i need to make a list of things to do again (which ,by the way, may or may not be done cause it always ends up just a list or a forgotten list or a lost list of things. . .hehehehe) . . .like send gifts to, plan out the new year, clean closet, finish 2010 tasks for the center, practice the song of The Taligsik Band, thank people such and such. . . ITS 2 IN THE MORNING! ha! not sleeping eh?. . .saan na si kuya germs. . .natulog na xa?. . . aishhhhh. . .thoughts overdrive. . .i don't know what else to do or write. . . .will somebody tell me how to sleep in this state. . counting sheep has failed (coz it'll only remind me of shaun the sheep which makes me even more awake). . .

fangirling and black outs

i was doing my daily dose of kpopdicine and doing my rounds on FB when my sister (who got home from her call center job) turned on the tv to watch her fave show, abs-cbn's "its showtime" . The announcement just caught my attention:FT Island LIVE My sister just asked me..."what's FT island again?" and all i could muster? shrieking  FAN-GIRL screams...ROFLMAO...well, that's what my sister told me...hehehehe...she even threatened to turn off the tv if i didn't stop (hai naku...my "old" younger sister talaga...but if it was 2ne1..she'd be screaming with me..LOL)....anyhow, the hosts also stated that FT island will be having a concert at the PICC Plenary Hall tomorrow and that "You're Beautiful" will be aired soon on ABS-CBN.. HURRAY!!!CONGRATULATIONS!!!...(note to myself: will be preparing for the other A.N.JELL guys too...who knows they will come soon as well!)  

i was all hyped and ready for them to do a song when to our darnest luck, a BLACK-OUT!!! thank you el nino...geeeeez...i have to wait 2 hours and watch it on youtube.

Oh well, we can't prevent blackouts especially with the events happening across the world...recent earthquake in chile, landslide in uganda and peru (or was it portugal?), tsunami in spain (2 dead in a cruise ship docked at barcelona) ...and there's EL Nino which has really affected Pinas this year...rotating black-outs everywhere in the country.
